After a long space of quiet, i have a big announcement

Hi!

I know it has been a long time since my last post, but as I’m sure you have guessed I have been busy. 

So some good news in these dark months, after some rigorous spell checking and a lot of help reformatting from my beloved wife, the book in its digital form is now complete!

The lore, players section and the GM’s section is finished with full art and everything bar the page numbers and the design elements necessary for print such as the bleed areas. 

This has been a year of hard, but extremely enjoyable work, learning the hard way how to lay out a game’s document as well as the finer points of graphic design and formatting for a book. I could not have gotten this far however without my friends, family, and of course you reading this newsletter. Knowing there are people out there that believe in this project has been a real boon to me in times when everything felt like it wasn’t worth continuing. 

So if you are reading this, I want to say a big thank you. Knowing you are out there and care about this project has made it all possible. 

Some more good news, Free League Publishing, the people behind Mörk Bork, Vasen, Alien rpg and many others have decided they want to publish Black Powder and Brimstone under the Free League Workshop imprint. Honestly I never would have thought that they would give me the time of day, but they have been very supportive of me and the project and are going to help with the kickstarter. 

Speaking of which, We have a date for the kickstarter launch! So mark your calendars for April 25th as that is when we will be going live! If you haven't already here is the link again to the pre signup page. 

Now just because the book is done, does not mean it's finished. If I reach my stretch goals then there will be many more pages to write and design. Things like nemesis enemies, even more monsters in the bestiary, and rules for surviving the cold. I honestly think when it's all done this little monster of a book will be about 200 pages long. That's longer than Cy-Borg, Death in Space and Pirate Borg, a real “cat killer” of a book.
